Amazon has first successful delivery by drone!

amazon-drone

Drone delivery by Amazon was successful in a test run in England on, December 7, 2016.

Amazon has been working on this for the past few years and it looks like it is poised to take off in 2017 – pun intended!

Don’t be surprised if you see a lot more activity in the sky next year. You can check out the full story here.

It is going to be interesting to see how this plays out in the legal arena. Already, there have been people injured by crashing drones, not to mention the privacy issues that are raised.

It’s easy to see how someone could be seriously injured by one of these drones. An example of this is the groom that was sued by attendees at his wedding when the drone operated by a company he hired to record the event, crashed into the women while they were dancing.

The Three Things that Can Kill your Airport Personal Injury Case – Make Sure you Land in the Right Place!

airport

Recently, I was passing through an airport and had some time to kill. Grabbed a Starbuck’s Hazelnut Soy Latte and one of their protein packs (I have a problem!) and found a nice quiet spot to sit and wait for my flight. While I was sitting off in my little corner, I saw a maintenance worker begin to mop the shiny floors in front of me. He put no warning to notify people of the wet floor, and after finishing, he left! And wow, were those wet floors really shiny!

You know what happens next.

People leaving an aircraft walk out, look around, turning left and right and several of them fall, a couple actually fell on each other as soon as they hit the wet floor.

One lady was seriously injured. Now it is unethical for a lawyer to solicit cases or confront an injured party, in person. But I so wanted to help her, at least to inform her of the three things she needed to know.

An injury in an airport is not like any other personal injury. Here are three ways that they special.

  1. Depending on where the accident occurred, you could find yourself in State or Federal Court. Does your lawyer understand the different and where and when to go into which court?
  2. A personal injury in an airport has some very strict timelines in which evidence is being lost or destroyed immediately after the injury. Does your lawyer know how to preserve that evidence to win your case?
  3. Delays of even one day can kill your airport personal injury case. Is your lawyer swift enough to immediately take up your case and issue letters of preservation and notice? Do they return your calls within a few hours; do they respond to your questions directly and swiftly?

If you are injured in an airport, there are very few lawyers that understand the time sensitive problems and have the experience to successfully pursue these cases.

At Case Law, PLLC, we handle airport personal injury cases that occur at Hartfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) in Georgia as well as Intercontinental (Bush) Airport (IAH) and Hobby Airport (HOU) in Houston , Texas and Dallas Love Field (DAL) and Dallas-Fort Worth airports (DFW).

But you cannot delay – the timelines I mentioned are working against you and you MUST call immediately! Our main office line is 866-8-CASELAW (866-822-7352).
